Postcard from Transylvania…

Transylvania is a historical and cultural region encompassing central Romania. To the east and south, its natural border is the Carpathian Mountains and to the west, the Apuseni Mountains.

While the area has a rich history dating back to the second century, Transylvania is commonly associated with Bram Stoker’s Dracula (& vampires) and the many subsequent books and films that the story has inspired. Bram Stoker never visited the area or the castle that claims to be where Dracula lived.

We like to travel and even spent nine years roaming around North America in a 40 foot motorhome. We're now back in a home in Washington state roaming by car, air, and boat.
